Quilting workshop in Dorking, Surrey "White Horse Hotel"

This is the wonderful old Hotel that I spent 2 nights in while doing the Quilt Workshop. This is the remains of the old entrance where Coaches & Horses used to enter, now days it is for cars.
The fireplace in the lounge is also an original feature.
Night light through one of the windows
Charles Dickens probably used the White Horse in his "Pickwick Papers" as Dorking is an old market town.

  1. This is what is so fantastic about the "Old World"- they look after and adapt their old buildings and preserve their history. That building is probably a lot older than from Dicken's time.
